About the Event Registration 

1. When and where will the GSC Popcorn Run 2023 be held?
The event will be held on 10 December 2023 (Sunday) at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. 
*Venue and Dates are subject to change.  

2. I couldn’t attend the physical race. Can I join virtually?
Thank you for your support, however there is no virtual run this year. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.  

3. When does the registration close?
Registration will close on 30 October 2023 or when all slots are sold out, whichever is earlier.   

4. What is the minimum age to participate in the GSC Popcorn Run 2023?
There are different minimum age requirements for the different race categories:-

• 5KM Kids: Ages 4 to 12 years as of date of Event.
• 5KM Open: Minimum 13 years as of date of Event.
• 10KM Men/Women Open: Minimum 16 years as of date of Event.
• 10KM Men/Women Veteran: Minimum 40 years as of date of Event.
• 21KM Men/Women Open: Minimum 18 years as of date of Event.
• 21KM Men/Women Veteran: Minimum 40 years as of date of Event. 

Note: Participants aged 17 years and below must be accompanied by an adult above 18 years old.  

5. What happens if I could not complete my run within the qualifying time? 
All registrants must complete their run within the qualifying time. There are 3 different distance categories - 5KM, 10KM and 21KM. Each category has a different qualifying time, please ensure to choose wisely which category fits your pace best:-

• 5KM: 1 hr 30 mins
• 10KM: 2 hrs 30 mins
• 21KM: 4 hrs 

6. Can I register for multiple race categories?
Unfortunately, joining multiple categories is not allowed. 1 participant is only allowed to join 1 category.  

7. I have my own insurance, do I still need to purchase the Group Personal Accident Insurance from the event? 
Yes, it is compulsory to purchase the Group Personal Accident Insurance (this is set by the Sports Commissioner Office of Malaysia)  

8. How do I know if my registration is successful?
Upon completion of registration, you will see the event receipt on Heyjom page immediately and receive a confirmation email as well. You may also check it in your Heyjom app, under Dashboard. 

9. I have registered but did not receive my confirmation email. What should I do?
If you did not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam, junk, promotions and social folders, or any other tabs in your inbox. Alternatively, you may also view your registration on your Heyjom dashboard. If it is not there, please contact us at info@heyjom.com with your full name, IC / passport number, email address used for registration and any proof of payment.  

10. Can I change my distance or category after I have completed my registration?
Unfortunately, you are not allowed to change your distance or category upon completing your registration.

11. If I wish to withdraw from the race, can I transfer my registration?
No. Race entries are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. The registration system documents the particulars of each runner and in the event of emergencies where medical assistance is required, the emergency contact is taken from the information stated on the bib. For the safety of our runners, changes are not permitted. 

12. Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after completing my registration?
No. Registration fees are strictly non-refundable. 

13. Do I need to do a COVID-19 test before attending the event?
It is not compulsory, but to keep yourself and others safe, you are encouraged to do a self-test before participating in the event. 

14. Do you have corporate registration?
Yes, we do have corporate registration. Please email us at info@heyjom.com for more information. 

About Runner’s Race Pack

1. What do I get in my race pack? 
While you collect your race packs during the race entry pack collection days/via delivery, you will receive your event tee, goodie bag and bib.  The movie ticket to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be sent to you digitally. Runners are required to redeem their tickets from GSC using the promo code given. The redemption information will be attached together. Upon completion of your race, runners can collect their finisher medal and finisher tee at the finishing line.  

2. Can I change my t-shirt size after registering? 
No, you are not allowed to change your t-shirt size after registering.  

3. I would like to have different sizes for my event tee and finisher tee. How can I do that? 
Unfortunately, it cannot be done as finisher tee size will follow the same with event tee. 

4. Can I get my finisher medal and 21KM finisher tee if I do not attend the run?
No, the finisher medal and 21KM finisher tee are strictly for finishers only.  

About The Physical Race 

1. Is it necessary to wear the race bib when participating in the race?
Participants MUST wear their race bibs while participating in the race. The Race Organiser reserves the right to deny entry of runners into the start pen without valid race bibs. 

2. What is the flag off time? 
The flag off time will be announced upon approval by the authorities. Runners who are late and do not flag off within 10 minutes after the official flag off of each distance will not be allowed to run. 

3. If I do not complete the race in the stipulated time-frame, will I be entitled to the Finisher’s items?
Unfortunately, finisher items (such as finisher medal, 21KM finisher tee, snack pack) are only reserved for registered participants who have completed the race. The finisher items can only be collected at the finishing line and race village. 

4. Is there a baggage deposit area at the race village?
There is a complimentary baggage check-in service at the race village where runners can deposit their belongings. *Counters will only accept items secured in bag(s). Whilst maximum care and security will be enforced, the Organiser will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items, or delay in retrieving the bags. Participants are advised to arrive 1 hour before their start time. 

5. Can I run if I am pregnant?
If you were a regular runner before your pregnancy, then it's safe to continue for as long as you find it comfortable and are not experiencing any complications. However, as organizers, we do not encourage this and we shall not be deemed responsible under any circumstances. 

6. Can I run with a stroller? 
For the safety of participants, strollers are not encouraged. Runners shall be responsible for the safety of themselves and the kids if they insist to run with strollers.  

Race Entry Pack Collection

1. What do I need to produce to collect my Race Pack?

• Softcopy of your identity card/passport
• Softcopy of your event confirmation slip  

2. Can I collect the race entry packs for my family or friends?
Yes, but you must have a copy of their NRIC and their event confirmation slip. Softcopy is accepted.  

3. I can’t collect my race packs during the Race Entry Pack Collection. Can I collect on event day? 
Unfortunately, there will be strictly no collection on the event day. You are encouraged to opt for delivery option or get a representative to collect on behalf of you. If you face any further challenges, please email us at info@heyjom.com.  

4. When will I receive my race pack if I opt for delivery? 
Your race pack is estimated to reach you 1 week before the event.
*Subject to change depending on the actual situation.

1. GSC Popcorn Run 2023 ('Event') is owned by Golden Screen Cinemas (‘GSC’), and organised by Score Sports Management Sdn Bhd (‘SCORE’).
2. The Event will be held on 10 December 2023 ("Date"). The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.
3. Eligibility:
   1. The Event is open to all and each participant attends the Event on his or her own free will.
   2. The 5KM is open to participants aged 4 and above. Participants ages 4 - 17 years old MUST be accompanied by at least ONE adult participant of 18 years old and above of the same category who will always be responsible for their safety.
   3. The 10KM is open to participants of age 16 and above. Participants ages 16 and 17 years old MUST be accompanied by at least ONE adult participant of 18 years old and above of the same category who will always be responsible for their safety.
   4. The 21KM is open to participants of age 18 and above.
4. Prize Winners:
   1. Winners must present in-person to collect their prize after the race upon the announcement of results. All uncollected prizes will be forfeited.
   2. The Organiser reserves the right to request for the winners’ identity card or passport for verification.

EVENT REGISTRATION

1. By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, to gain access and to participate in the Event or any activities relating to the Event, the participant is deemed to have given express permission to the Organiser and Event partners and sponsors (if any) to use such personal information for marketing, statistical and planning purposes.
2. By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, the participant agrees to provide his/her name and personal details to the insurance partner of the event for the purchase of Group Personal Accident Insurance (compulsory by the Sports Commissioner).
3. The Organiser reserves the right to contact the participant from time to time by any means. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the participant.
4. If a participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the participant's registration and refuse any and all current or future use of any components of the Event. There will be no fee refund upon such suspension or termination of the participant's registration.
5. The Organiser will not entertain or be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate Registration Data in the Event registration form completed by the participant.
6. Once the participant’s registration has been duly processed, there will be no refund for any participant who does not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason.
7. All T-Shirt measurements are subject to 0.79+/- inch tolerance.
8. All colour, design and material of merchandise (such as event tee, finisher tee, finisher medal, bib, goodies bag etc.) are subject to change without notice.
9. There will be no refund on registration fees if the Event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e., due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organiser (including but not limited to haze, storm, rain, inclement weather, wind, act of God, terrorism, or other conditions) and which in the Organiser's opinion, renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.

EVENT PARTICIPATION

1. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant under the age of 4 for 5KM, under the age of 16 for 10KM and under the age of 18 for 21KM.
2. Bibs given to the participants during the Entry Pack Collection are compulsory to be always worn during the Event. Entry will be prohibited otherwise.
3. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants safety, participants attending the event are solely at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death however arising from training for, during or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or to consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual Event day.
4. It is the sole responsibility of every participant to inform the medical staff/safety marshal of the session regarding any injury or reason that they cannot exercise.
5. Should any participant feel fatigue, restless, or an injury at any time during or before the session, they must immediately inform the medical staff/safety marshal and refrain from joining the session.
6. Participants must retire from the session immediately, if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff/safety marshal.
7. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property during the session.
8. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations of the Event which will be reflected on the Event's Registration Platform and it is the responsibility of all the participants to keep abreast with any changes.
9. The Organiser reserves the right to change the date, venue or to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in which case the Organiser will make every effort to inform the participants prior to the Date. If the Event must be cancelled, there shall be NO refund of fees and the Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
10. The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of user communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or traffic congestion on the internet and/or the Event's Official Website.
11. Participants must ensure that they have read and understood the Personal Data Protection Notice on the collection, retention, use, disclosure and management of the Participant's personal data. By reading and agreeing to it, Participants agree to authorise and allow the Organiser and/or any of its subsidiary companies to collect, retain, use and disclose the Participant's personal data for the purposes mentioned in the Personal Data Protection Notice
