• Route Safety
  1. The route will be clearly marked with staff and volunteers. NO shortcuts are allowed.
  2. Do not run or walk out of the designated walkways.
  3. Do not run or walk in a row or push other participants.
  4. The use of cell phones is discouraged to prevent any potential safety risks.

• Medical Support
  1. Medical personnel will be stationed along the route and the event venue.
  2. Participants should notify a volunteer or medical personnel immediately if they feel unwell, experience pain or discomfort, or have any medical concerns during the Event.

• Emergency
  1. In case of a medical emergency, notify a volunteer or medical personnel immediately.
  2. In case of an emergency that requires evacuation, follow the instructions of staff and volunteers.

• Participant Safety
  1. Participants will be provided with information about the Event, including any potential hazards prior to the walk.
  2. Shelters and water stations along the route, and participants will be reminded to stay hydrated throughout the Event.

• Weather Conditions
  1. Weather conditions will be monitored throughout the Event, and adjustments will be made as necessary to ensure all participants’ safety.
  2. If there are any changes in the weather forecast, participants will be notified.
  3. Participants will be advised on suitable clothing. MS Walk 2023 T-shirts will be available for purchase at the event venue.

• Traffic Safety
  1. All participants will be informed of the rules on the road and be warned about hazard zones along the route.

• Safety Guidelines for Multiple Sclerosis Participant
  1. A different route will be available to participants with multiple sclerosis.
  2. Prior to the walk, participants will be informed of sections of the route which have potential risks (sharp turns, uneven surfaces or busy intersections)
  3. Participants can seek shelter along the route to have adequate rest breaks to hydrate and rest.
  4. If a participant feels discomfort or experiences pain, do not hesitate to seek help from medical personnel. Notify medical personnel about any conditions or symptoms you are experiencing. Notify the volunteers to get assistance.
  5. Water stations will be stationed along the route, ensuring that you are hydrated at all times.

• The Event is organised by the Rotaract Club of Sunway University ("Organiser").
• The Event will be held on 18th June 2023, Sunday ("Date"), at Sunway University ("Venue") at 8.00 a.m. (“Time”). The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.

1. All participants must register for the Event via Heyjom or register on the day of the Event.
2. By signing up and providing any information, personal or otherwise, to be involved in the Event or any activities relating to the Event or involving the Organiser and the Event Sponsors, the Participant has given express permission and is deemed to agree to the following:
   • Authorisation to the Organiser to collect, process, organise and retain personal data relating to the Participant.
   • The Organiser reserves the right to use and repost any photograph (including those of participants), motion pictures or any other media record of the Event taken before, during and after the Event (via social media) for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors.
3. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these terms and conditions and any other rules and regulations of the Event at any given time as the Organiser deems fit all necessary without prior notice. If there is ambiguity in the provision of the terms, the Organiser will have the authority to interpret, and in doing so, the Organiser will take into account the interest of all affected participants. The decision of the Organiser shall be final and binding. Any updates, modifications or changes to the terms and conditions or any other rules and regulations of the Event will be notified on Heyjom (unless otherwise stated) and take effect from the date of notifications on the official Heyjom.
4. There will be no fee refund if the Event is cancelled for reasons of force majeure, i.e. due to the occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organisers and which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.
5. The Organiser reserves the right to change the date and/or venue or postpone or cancel the Event for any reason without prior notice to the Participant. If the Event is delayed or cancelled, there shall be NO refund of fees, and the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. Any updates on the Event will be notified to the Participant.
6. The Participant shall provide accurate, current, and complete information about the Participant. The Organiser may contact the Participant from time to time by email or additional contact provided. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser is deemed as received by the participants. If the Participant provides information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if the Organiser has the grounds to suspect that such information is false, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Organiser may at any time suspend, revoke, cancel or tell minute the participants very station and participation in the Event and defuse any and all current or future use of Heyjom.
7. Once the Participant's registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for the Participant who does not eventually participate in the Event for whatever reason.
8. The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
9. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, defer or at any event category without prior notice to the participants.

1. A bib number will be assigned to each Participant on the day of the Event. Participants must wear the assigned bib numbers visibly on their chests throughout the Event.
2. If the bib number is lost or missing, the Participant must immediately inform staff or a volunteer. Participants will be required to present their registration details to verify their identity. 

1. Participant acknowledges and accepts that the Event involves certain dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including personal injuries and accidents, and their participation in the Event is voluntary despite the potential risks and dangers.
2. Participant warrants that they are in good physical condition, have sufficient preparations, and can participate in the Event safely. The Participant is fully aware of the risks and hazards of the Event.
3. It is the responsibility of the Participant to advise the Organiser before the start of the Event of any pre-existing medical condition, disability, appropriate medications being taken and allergies.
4. The Organiser is not responsible for any loss, injury or accidents sustained by the Participant in this Event.

1. Participants must conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully throughout the Event.
2. The Organiser has the right to remove or disqualify a Participant if the Participant engages in any behaviour deemed dangerous, offensive or inappropriate by the Organiser.
3. Participants are not permitted to consume alcohol or any illegal substances during the Event.
4. Participants must not damage any property or equipment belonging to the Organiser, Sponsor(s) or other participants. 

1. T-shirt Distribution
   • All physical collection of t-shirts purchased by participants will commence after 17th and 18th June 2023. The Organiser is not responsible for any losses, disappearance or faulty packages during physical collection. 
2. Method of Transaction
   • All transactions for participation, donations, t-shirt and merchandise purchases will be entirely online. No cash on delivery (COD) will be entertained. 
3. T-shirt Sizes
   • The Organiser will provide the T-shirt based on the specified size stated in the registration form if participants (and donors) choose to purchase the optional package. (If a specific size is unavailable, the Organiser has the right to replace the stated size with a different size).
4. Order Changes
   • Upon purchase of T-shirts, no refunds or size changes can be made.
5. Collection of merchandise
   • All merchandise will be physically collected by the Participants on the 17th and 18th June 2023. On 17th June 2023 and 18th June 2023, physical collection can be made at Sunway University (“venue”).
6. Receipts
   • Unclear and unapproved receipts provided by participants to show proof of payment will be considered void and false.
7. E-certificates
   • All e-certificates will be provided after 18th June 2023.
